Huf Haus Building Plot In Yorkshire

Hello and welcome, We have been working with the German Huf Haus company on a project you may be able to help us with.

We have been involved in the assessment, treatment and therapy of children with special needs for seven years and appear to have outstayed our welcome with our local district council.

We need a plot of land in pleasant surroundings, away from but not restricted from major roads and high volume traffic. We need space to develop specialist facilities to enable all people to explore their potential in life and leisure and learning.

Therapy in Praxis is a specialised paediatric therapy service offering a range of assessment and therapy intervention for learning and functional development. Therapy in Praxis is trying to develop a highly specialised recreational facility on site for individuals with a diverse range of special needs, from learning disabilities to complex and profound neurodevelopmental or acquired disabilities. Therapy and assessment facilities would be available on site and would encompass a wide range of special needs including outreach support is also available.

Currenty, our referrals are accepted from a wide range of sources provided that funding is available, e.g. self-referral, private health-care schemes, PCT funding, PCT commissioning.

Unfortunately, our vision is significantly restricted by the planning regulations enforced by Ryedale District Council who prefer pantiles and stone walls to access and achievement. The fact that facilities are very limited in this area for individuals with special needs seems to be something that Ryedale cannot visualise and responds with an adapted ramp and a railing !
